Banksie
Wigan-born, Manchester-trained non-binary UK queen from Drag Race UK Series 5 — a Rat Queen with an art-school edge.
Banksie is a British drag performer, not Canadian: she was a contestant on Series 5 of RuPaul's Drag Race UK in 2023. Out of drag she's Banksie, born and raised in Wigan, England, and trained at the Manchester School of Art. Non-binary and using they/them pronouns, Banksie has built her identity around a self-described Rat Queen aesthetic — grungy, art-forward, and a little unhinged — that leaned hard into the Manchester alt-drag scene before Drag Race. She was eliminated relatively early in Series 5. Since the show she has continued to tour and post, and relocated to Melbourne, Australia in 2026.
