Jay Kay is a Brooklyn-based nonbinary drag artist and one of the standout monsters of The Boulet Brothers' Dragula, competing on Season 5 before returning for Dragula: Titans Season 2. Their stage name is a pun on 'jk,' internet shorthand for 'just kidding,' a reference to Kimora Blac's viral 'you didn't say JK, though' quote, and the humor tracks with everything they do onstage: campy, gender-blending, punk-rock, and unafraid of the grotesque. On Dragula they became the first monster ever resuscitated back into the competition after being exterminated on a regular season, a testament to how much both fans and the Boulet Brothers wanted them back. They're also the inaugural winner of Bitch Fest, La Zavaleta's 'Hell's Kitchen drag' competition. Not affiliated with RuPaul's Drag Race, Jay Kay's lane is horror-adjacent, weird, and genre-crossing.
