La Kahena

La Kahena is a Tunisian-French performer who began her drag career in 2016 after moving to France at age 19. She styles herself the 'Berber Queen,' taking her name from Kahina, the 7th-century Berber warrior-queen who led resistance against the Arab conquest of North Africa. She competed on the very first season of Drag Race France in 2022, where she was the first queen eliminated, and later returned for the second season of Canada's Drag Race: Canada vs the World, where she was again eliminated first — making her the first Drag Race contestant in the franchise's history to be eliminated first on two different seasons. She is also the first drag performer to appear at Paris's Institut du Monde Arabe.
