Michael Marouli

Michael Marouli is an English drag performer, comedian and cabaret host from the North East of England, born in Whitley Bay and based around Newcastle upon Tyne. She competed on Series 5 of RuPaul's Drag Race UK in 2023, finishing runner-up to Ginger Johnson and becoming a breakout star of the season on the strength of her comedy chops, sharp writing and unapologetically working-class Geordie identity. She later returned for Drag Race Down Under vs. The World Season 1, which she won, becoming the first Queen of the Mothertucking World of the Down Under franchise. Michael's stage career predates Drag Race: she won Drag Idol Newcastle, performed cabaret in Gran Canaria and appeared on The X Factor UK. Since her Drag Race run she has been cast in Paramount+ romcom The Road Trip, several pantomime seasons and the 2025 West End musical Pop Off Michelangelo.
