Perla

Perla is the Calgary-raised, Toronto-based fashion darling of Canada's Drag Race Season 5, an editorial queen whose runway sensibility, singing, and makeup artistry earned her a fifth-place finish and a permanent seat in the Canada's Drag Race pantheon. Before the show, she'd already carved out a decade in Toronto's drag scene, performing at Crews and Tangos and winning the 2022 Absolut Empire's Ball, the annual crown established by Scarlett BoBo. Post-show, she co-hosts The Powder Room podcast alongside fellow Canada's Drag Race alumni Aurora Matrix and Van Goth; the trio took home the People's Choice Award at the 2025 Canadian Podcast Awards. Perla's brand is high-fashion glamour with a wickedly self-aware sense of humor, campy without ever losing the polish, an editorial girl through and through.
