Thorgy Thor

Thorgy Thor is (born May 25, 1984), a New York City-based drag queen, comedian, event host and classically trained musician. She rose to international attention on Season 8 of RuPaul's Drag Race, where she placed sixth and became one of the season's most-quoted personalities, and returned for All Stars 3. Off Drag Race, Thorgy is one of the few queens whose full-length concert career is her real day job: she plays violin, viola and cello and, in 2018, launched Thorgy and the Thorchestra in collaboration with conductor Daniel Bartholomew-Poyser. The show has toured to major North American symphonies including the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra and Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, blending classical repertoire with drag showmanship. She has also appeared on television projects including Dragnificent! on TLC. Her aesthetic — a riot of clashing prints, wigs, glitter and thrifted color — is inseparable from her whip-fast, improvisational stage patter.
